Mercaux
Mercaux, the new generation platform digitising retail stores, turning them into multi-purpose centres, today announced the strategic appointment of Shaun Britton as Vice President of Sales, EMEA. The hire of the former Aptos Solutions sales executive comes on the back of a busy quarter for the business which saw it launch a number of new solutions including Digital Fitting Rooms, a solution that is helping retailers to improve in-store conversions.
With two decades of experience in sales – most recently at Aptos Solutions (a retail software vendor specialising in ePOS and ecommerce) where he was responsible for supporting the wider Northern Europe team on complex sales cycles, coaching & guiding the team and targeting enterprise retailers across EMEA, Shaun brings a wealth of strategic and tactical knowledge to Mercaux. His previous roles also include a number of years as EMEA Sales Director for Kibo Commerce (formerly Shopatron) and Sales Manager at Retail IT.
Britton’s responsibilities at Mercaux will include building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities, sales team leadership and contract negotiation. He will also work alongside the leadership team to communicate, implement and drive Mercaux’s ambitious go to market strategy. Britton will report into Olga Kotsur, Co-Founder and CEO at Mercaux.
Commenting on the appointment, Kotsur said:
“As one of the fastest growing SaaS start-ups in Europe, we’re committed to changing the face of retail by bringing the benefits of digital to the store. Shaun’s successful sales track record in enterprise SaaS retail solutions means he’s a perfect match for our business. His skills and experience will really help us to accelerate our growth journey and strengthen our presence in key territories. We’re delighted to have him join the team.”
On joining the business, Britton added:
“What a great time to arrive at Mercaux! Every retailer needs to have a digital transformation strategy in place to keep up with customer demands and expectations. That means capitalising on the big opportunities that come with unifying online and offline retails channels. Through solutions such as clienteling and remote selling, Mercaux is ideally placed to help quickly and easily guide retailers through such digital transformations. With innovative retailers such as Nike (IRG) and TENDAM already on board, I’m excited to be taking the business to the next level and expanding our reach.”
