Fashion Technology Accelerator, an international hub that fosters digital and technology innovation in the Fashion, Luxury and Retail industry, is happy to announce its partnership with Mercaux, the company that provides the "backbone" for in-store digital transformation in retail.

The partnership has been formed for Fashion Technology Accelerator to further support Mercaux in their continued expansion across the globe, and for Mercaux to bring specialist knowledge to Fashion Technology Accelerator in a crucial area for retail’s recovery from the current pandemic – in-store digital transformation.

Mercaux is supporting customers in Europe, The Americas, Middle East and Asia to provide superior customer experiences through omnichannel and unified commerce digital capabilities. They equip Sales Associates and stores with the digital tools they need to serve and sell smarter, across the entire path-to-purchase journey in-store. The solutions are operated by Sales Associates using a tablet-based app or self-served by customers using touch screen kiosks or their own phones via a web-based App. All the solutions are all managed by a HQ Platform and help retailers provide a highly personalised shopping experience which results in higher LTV, reduced lost sales, larger basket sizes (UPT) and sales uplift.

Speaking of the partnership, Olga Kotsur, co-Founder and CEO of Mercaux commented, “Due to the lockdown, digital adoption by consumers and businesses has accelerated 5 years in just 8 weeks. Retailers need to react quickly to this adoption as consumers have heightened expectations when returning to brick-and-mortar stores.”

Kotsur concluded, “That’s why we see the partnership with Fashion Technology Accelerator as an amazing opportunity to help lead the digitalisation of physical retail. With Fashion Technology Accelerator’s support and expertise, we hope to grow and accelerate the digitalisation of retail to support recovery and encourage growth across the industry.”

Speaking of the partnership, Giusy Cannone, CEO of Fashion Technology Accelerator commented, “After the pandemic, the retail industry is looking for innovative ways to become more digital. This is not an easy process, facing it with the right partner is fundamental. Facilitating the adoption of smart and innovative solutions is part of the role FTA has in advancing innovation in the Fashion Industry”.
