Ukraine Crisis Appeal: Help provide vital aid to Ukraine.
Mercaux has been built on the values of freedom, respect, inclusion and tolerance. But these are violated by Putin’s Russian government with the invasion into Ukraine.
It is personal for us – some of us are originally from Russia and Belarus, and a lot of people we know, respect and love are now in Ukraine. We are horrified and saddened by this act of aggression – and staying neutral is not ethical in this situation. We believe that it was a completely unjustified and unprovoked invasion of a sovereign country. War can never be an answer.
We do not believe Putin’s regime represents all Russian people. Many Russians have opposed this Government for many years, and many others have attended anti-war protests recently.
What can we do?
There are a lot of ways to support Ukraine, including donating to charities supporting people there and raising awareness through social media and communities.
This war has to stop, and we all are responsible to stop it.
